February 2011 ; San Francisco
Patricia attended the Miller Heiman global sales conference in San Francisco, and heard the legendary Bob Miller deliver his "Dutch Uncle" speech, where he delivers his thoughts on how we are doing with the organisation he founded ! Bob turns 80 years old this year and he can come across as the personification of a "grumpy old man" but actually is an entertaining speaker with a dry sense of humour and astute and insightful observations to make. This year he talked about the need for sales people to be master craftsman and to put in the hard work, the diligence and rigor needed to become master craftsmen rather than journeymen.
